- This deposit will be applied to your entry fee (when registration opens).
- This deposit holds your spot but does not commit you to competing or paying the balance of the entry fee or selling tickets.
- $20 deposit is not refundable except if the event is canceled or your category/age division is canceled.

Step 4: Pay Balance of Entry Fee When Registration Opens
Risk-free Entry:
- If your category/age division is full, we will immediately refund your full entry fee.
- If the event is canceled, we will immediately refund your full entry fee.
ENTRY FEE BALANCE: $79* (IF YOU PAID $20 PRE-REGISTRATION FEE)
- *Each entry will also sell a total of 10 tickets @ $10 each, prior to the competition date by deadline given.
- Duos & Groups pay 1 entry fee per group (not per group member).
- Multiple entries allowed: Soloists may also enter in the Duos & Groups category and vice versa. (Separate entry form and fee are required for each entry.)
- Tickets are RESERVED SEATING. Soloists, Duos, and Group contestants will each need a ticket to have a reserved seat (your ticket can count as one of the 10 tickets you are required to sell). Tickets Tab
- Ages 3 and up are permitted and will require a ticket at the door. Sorry, no babies because we are filming.

Vocal Sport costs more than $10K for a full day competition and it is an opportunity that is worth much more than just a simple talent contest! (There aren't many professional competitions because they are so expensive to produce!)

Vocal Sport does not solicit corporate sponsors to help fund the competition and defray entry fees.
DISCOUNTS:
Discounts are not offered for multiple entries or for family members because each available spot in each category/age division must bring in a certain dollar amount in order to fully fund the competition.
REFUNDS:
Refunds are NOT allowed for any reason. The work for each entry has already been done before the competition begins. Dropouts can change whole categories/age divisions, which can be devastating to the competition. We discourage dropouts by not offering any refunds whatsoever. Please be sure you can follow through before you enter.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES:
- Professional Venue: $5,000 minimum
- Cash Prizes: Awarded to 1st place in each category/age division
- Trophies: Awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category/age division
- Other prizes: Sponsors provide some prizes and Vocal Sport provides some prizes.
- Videography: A professional videographer captures each performance for YouTube.
- Photography: A professional photographer captures each performance for marketing
- Judges: Minimum of 3 (and usually an assistant for each)
- Hosts: Professional hosts are hired to make the event fun for everyone.
- Guest Artists: To perform while judges are tallying scores and writing feedback after each category/age division
- Advertising & Marketing: Getting the word out takes a big part of the budget.
- Office Staff: The staff processes entries, manages emails, promotes contestants on social media, and more.
- Competition Staff: Multiple people are hired for the competition day to help things run smoothly.
