​After Lauryn competed at Vocal Sport in 2016, the competition directors recommended her to their contact at The Voice and she was invited to compete. In a recent message from Lauryn to Vocal Sport, she wrote, ​​"You led me to The Voice and I just wanted to start by saying thank you so, so much for that.
