SUMMER 2017 ONLINE COMPETITION & TALENT SEARCH  KATIE MITCHELL | TEEN CATEGORY (AGES 13-17) Katie Mitchell is 15 years old and will be a sophomore this year. She has always enjoyed singing and could sing on pitch at a very young age. Nobody really knew her desire to sing until she secretly surprised everyone (including her family) by learning a song in one night, trying out and being chosen to perform in her 5th grade talent show. Katie began voice lessons after this and has since performed in talent shows, church functions, Kaysville Idol, and recently at a competition in Vernal. She is also involved with her school choir and was selected to sing in the Utah State Honor Choir. She loves to play the ukulele and is beginning to learn the guitar.
